Sunnyside Elementary School

Sunnyside is indeed a very special place with a warm closeness among the staff. Staff, families, after-school program leaders, and students work together to create a positive learning enviroment for all. In response to an earlier post, we do currently offer both spanish and sign language classes afterschool. Check with your childs teacher for more details.

Small, neighborhood school with caring teachers and active parents. Like the elementary school I remember attending.

My son just started Kindergarten this year and he just loves this school! The only thing I wish it had was an afterschool language class (like Mandarin, Spanish, etc.). But overall, this school is Great! It just keeps getting better and better!

My daughter was in private school since preschool and recently transferred to Sunnyside. The pressure of her previous schools academic program had her hating school in the first grade. We were very worried about the transition and did not pick Sunnyside as one of our options and were fortunate enough to get in at the last minute. She now comes home loving school with a smile on her face. Her teacher is teaching in ways never used at her previous school and we can already see improvements in her reading and approach to homework. This is a small school with a caring staff. We are lucky to be a part of this community and appreciate their hard work and dedication.
