I have two children at or have been at East Knox. I have in all the years of being around the school always felt the administration and the faculty taught, looked after, and loved my kids. The school has a safe environment.

The school administration is so unfriendly. You have a few teachers that engage with parents but it is amazing how unfriendly the staff can be at the school. The janitor's are very friendly.

The principal has terrible social skills. She is rarely seen in the school. There is a lack of professionalism when it comes to leadership. The school has some excellent teachers as well as terrible teachers. Parental involvement is encouraged but often unwanted.

This will be my son's 4th year at East Knox County Elementary School. He absolutely loves this school as well as do I. Our son has excelled in his learning and is at the top of his class. We feel this is due to a partnership of great leadership at school and follow-up teaching and practices at home by us, the parents. We have become part of the school family in that we are involved in and participate in many school activities. We are always made to feel welcome at the school and feel that Mrs. Dawson and Mrs. Smith, as well as all the teachers, have our son's best interest at heart. We applaud all the teachers and know that our son is in good hands while at school. Sincerely, A very involvedand satisfied Mom

By doing it in the funnest way possible,we have to make it exciting for them. Maybe reward them after they are done AND DID THERE BEST. Parents must be totally involved.

You shouldn't, have a study hall if they need help. When you learn you need a teacher, students can study on their own time.
