Great school, if you are a concerned parent, most of the teachers will go above and beyond to keep you informed about your child's school work. You can check your child's grades online and most of the teachers email up and coming homework assignments and tests. Very helpful information if you are trying to keep on top of a middle school boy's grades, when he hasn't figured out how important they are! It also has a pretty good number and selection of electives. I attended a larger school and we weren't offered near the number or variety of extras. Why not rate it a 5 star??? The building. It leaks and needs repairs. They keep it clean and it looks good, but I guess a new roof is a little more than a minor repair. Not really something that can be fixed without some serious money.

This school is very 'name' oriented. If you don't have a certain last name you get nowhere at this school. There are some good teachers in this school system but most seem to look at the kids names also and the children with unknown names get left behind. Certain kids are allowed to do pretty much whatever they want while others get in trouble for every little thing.

You get what your tax dollars pay for! Excellent school for the money in my opinion.

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
