Academic programs are very good and the teachers really care. Extracurricular programs are few but very innovative. Outside of sports and craft types of programs that run 2 days a week, there is also a gardening and science workshop. Daily curriculum has 5 core courses: math, english, science, social studies and foreign language and 3 noncore rotating courses: music, gym/health and art. Courses run on a 6 day schedule so holidays don't interfere with the noncore classes. After school sports include soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. There is also a debate team in both the high school and junior high which focuses on daily problems (economy, environment, etc.). Parent involvement is expected and usually most participate during and after school. My involvement is the Food Advisory Committee along with any special requests. This week we will participate in a family math/science night. Overall I would rate the school an A-.
