We moved here from downstate New York. My child was placed in a class that held 6 of the 7 new students entering his grade, a very high number of students with behavioral issues and several children who the teacher kept telling, in front of the class, were unable to complete the 5th grade. Bullying, violence, poor leadership, lethargic parents. it's been almost a year since we pulled him out of there. He's still working through the damage done there.

The teachers and everyone employed there are there because they love the children. They all help to install values, character and so much more. They go above and beyond what is asked of them. Thank You Catskill Elementary School.

Teachers and supposrt staff at Catskill Elementary School genuinely care about each and every student, As a parent of 2 children who have been thru CES, I could NEVER thank them enough, Think about it, our children spend over 6 hours a day with these people...they help mold out children into productive, responsible, respectfull individuals. Thank you CES staff!

We have a son in first grade and believe strongly in public education. If you are also involved in your child's education, a public school system can work for you, even if the district doesn't have an abundance of resources. We feel lucky to live in Catskill and think the elementary school and administration is competent and of course, could be better, but overall, it's a good school and only getting better. I think if you give it a try, you'd be surprised by the high quality. We were!

By doing it in the funnest way possible,we have to make it exciting for them. Maybe reward them after they are done AND DID THERE BEST. Parents must be totally involved.

You shouldn't, have a study hall if they need help. When you learn you need a teacher, students can study on their own time.
