As a parent, I am most pleased with Mare Island Elementary's attention to my child. Between the teacher, principal and general hands-on attitude, the school is striving to be a strong member of the community. They encourage healthy, respectful, disciplined, & happy children - in addition to active parental involvement.
Many of the children are bused up from South Vallejo and cause havoc for all the others with prejudism, cussing, fighting, and bullying. It is really hard to deal with when my children come home crying 2-3 time per week.
