I am a parent of 2 children. We have tryed Metamora Middle School and Gremantowns Hills Middle School. My kids got better grades at Germantown and like it much more than Metamora.
I love Germantown Hills Middle School! The i-sat scores are always super high and beat all schools in the are! They offer many extra curricular activites. I would highly suggest this school over Metamora grade and Metamora Middle! The school also has a wonderful band and chorus. Also the inclusion class is very secretive and helpful. They are also very helpful to children with special needs! The gym program is also very nice about keeping kids in shape and having fun. All the teachers are kind and caring. The school is also investing in new and expensive technology for our students. I have had 5 kids in this school and I love it!
GTH Middle School has strong parental involvement. The music program is exceptional. They integrate special ed children into regular class setting. In each grade there is an 'inclusion' class with some special ed kids and some not. No one knows who is who. It works really well. We have been here for 3 school years 4-6 and have had excellent teachers every year. If you are moving to the Peoria area I would highly recommend this school area.
