Pescadero Elem, Middle and High have paired up with our local Tomkat ranch and kids are getting excellent, healthy, delicious lunches. Our Principals leadership continues to grow making these schools exciting and attractive! Job well done...

Excellent community school with highly qualified teachers, especially math, science, Spanish and language arts. Sports programs available in basketball, volleyball and soccer. After school program, including a drama program. Other programs in clude science fair and Model U.N. Diverse student body, with a substantial percentage of latinos/as. Draws from La Honda, Pescadero and Loma Mar communities. Campus is located in beautiful setting with rolling hills behind, only a few miles from the ocean, beaches, and marshes in one direction and redwood forests in the other. Small-town setting. Parent participation/volunteerism is encouraged and there is an active PTA as well as an active Education Foundation. Middle School is on same campus as Pre-K-5 elementary school, which has its own principal. One downside is that currently the middle school principal position is filled by an already over-extended superintendent.

This is a small rural school. Although budget cuts limit the extracurricular offerings and supplies, the quality of the current teachers and their teaching methods are very high. Other pluses are the safe environment, high parent involvement, and a nuturing atmosphere.

Mrs. Pat Talbot, principal, has done an outstanding job here. Her involvement with the literacy program, no child left behind and the overall running of the school is exceptional. Thank you for this opportunity!

Anything on the weekend is too much. Kids need "family and church" time too! 1 hour a night past the age 10 is fine, 30 minutes or less before.
