As a student that graduated from Pescadero High School within the the last five years I would say that it is only good for academic purposes. The math department is horrendous, but english, science, and history are excellent. The school provides no way to become normally socialized. It is not a good school to meet people at and can be very boring. College was so much better than high school simply because there were more people to meet and more classes to take. Pescadero High School would benefit from returning the shop class and actually having electives. It is better to move than to send your student to Pescadero High School. It had the same feel as the local honor camps.

Although this school is a small school, each student gets as much education as they need. If a student ever feels like they are not being given enough of a challenge then it is not difficult to request for a transfer into a harder class or ask for an extension to make the class more difficult. The teachers are highly educated and know their subjects and how to help their students understand. The parents in the community donate time to make the learning environment of the students better quality. In all the sports programs the students are able to learn how to do their best and work together with their teammates and everyone is given the opportunity to play in a sport.

communication is the key to good relationships...visibility of parents at school and hands on with child all work together...if it continues then address it boldly...seek help

Talk to the teacher, possibly and probably file a complaint.

I would definitely talk to the teacher. You will find that a child's perception is not always the same thing as the "truth" - it is just what they perceive.
