I believe hugo is a superior school, to have such a great school in our area is a testament to the dedication of the teachers and administration!
Have you been to Hugo High this year to see what is happening? The school board and superintendent wised up and hired a principal with experience in Oklahoma and she is working hard to make a difference. The teachers seem to understand that she is there to support them and they are teaching this year at a level that they have not strived for in the past several years. The students are great, they just need to realize that the education Hugo High is offering them will help them be successful in the future and that attending school is important. Hang in there Mrs. Golden, principal and Mrs. Shanklin, assistant principal - the community is behind you!

I am a former student, who enjoyed Hugo High school. The teachers are very devoted to their students. The discipline in the school is also beginning to strengthen as harsher rules are being enforced. I recommend Hugo, if you want a diverse, challenging, or devoted school. Yes, the administration has room for improvement, but the school itself was a great experience a an athlete, and a honor student. I moved from Granville Ohio 7 years ago. Granville was a top of the line schools, very wealthy, and given a blue ribbon from the president of the United States. I came here to a major change, to realize a school doesn't need all the blessings in the world to be a great school! My name is Adam Sparks and I am proud to be a Hugo Buffalo!

I am a former student of Hugo High School... I graduated in 2007. Hugo High School is not where to send your children. The Administration changes from year to year... it is horrible. The only subjects that are taught well are English and Honors Math. Mrs. Gee, Mrs. Copeland, Mrs. Lemons, and Mr. Moore are wonderful educators. Arts are not encouraged by the Administration and are not supported by much of the staff, as it is in most of Oklahoma everything is about football. The Band program is also horribly lacking as it has been through 5 band directors in the last 7 years. The marching band has 40 max. The jazz band and the football team are this school's only asset.
