My son is a student at Lester Elementary School and I could not have picked a better school for him. The teachers and staff are fantastic. They care about the children and their education in a manner like I've never seen before. I would recommend Lester to any parent!

I really like this school. I am a working parent with no medical insurance, the teachers and principal were great in helping me get my child a pair of glasses.

I recently moved here and placed my son in Lester Elementary. I have been satisfied with the principal and although he is a new principal, I believe that he has a realistic vision for the school and is fully capable of implementing his goals. I am not so sure about the parent/teacher participation. I truly believe that very few schools have enough funding, because they don't have any after-school programs(except sports related activities). I will try to become part of the solution, not part of the problem! The school is clean and has a pleasant decor.

They could be doing much more to earn money by collecting more then just BoxTops & Soup Labels. There are Capri Sun Drink Pouches, Used cell phones, laptops, empty ink/toner cartridges. They should look at TerraCycling.com What is PTA REALLY doing?

It is great to teach our kids to give to others-within limits. Support without demanding! I boycott school fundraisers; donate elsewhere to show real value in helping where needed.

From the asking perspective (such as schools asking students to donate to causes) frequent appeals for donations creates real problems for families who cannot afford to donate to every appeal or cause. Stop pressuring kids for money.
