This is a Response to the February 15, 2008 ! Parkside has the best teachers! I'm a current Cap Resident Freshman and taking all Pre-Ib classes . Parkside's 8th Grade As Teachers help you prepare for 9th grade. Ms. Isareal As class is soo difficult and the deadlines are soo soon. But I'm glad I took her class because it really help me prepared for high school. My english class is exactly the same but 9th grade material. But thank you Ms. Isareal for preparing me for high school. Ms. harames is the algebra teacher at Parkside and she is a great teacher ! She really gets you the idea of high school. Its work after work after work. But her tests was soo hard and her challenges were also difficult too. But if you payed attension and did you homework and asked for help. You'll do just fine !

I feel parksdide is a really great school and doesnt keep my kid isolated so he can be free but still get a great education> I also like the variety of culture and rase because i dont my kids to be all around one king and not know anything about the others. i rate this school a 10 out of 10

My son started in Parkside about a month ago and I'm very impressed and happy to know that it is a safe, friendly, and academically stimulating place to be. The principal and vice principal are there in the front gate morning and afternoon to make sure that our kids are safe. The teachers are nice, and caring. Parkside offers tools to help our kids get more organized and up to date with their homework. I attended the 1st PTO meeting and I can tell that the parents are involved with school activities and fund raising. I'm so glad we made the right decision to send my son in Parkside. He enjoys going to school and so far doing excellent in all his classes. The advance classes are great. Don't be disappointed looking at the school's current score, what matters is what your child's score is.

This is in response to the Feb1508 response and to anyone who thinks negatively about Parkside. I have a daughter who is a gate student and now a 9th grader at Cap and while attending Parkside she took AP classes. She was placed in these classes by her teacher possibly they didn't place this former student into these classes therefore causing them to be in over their head. 2nd as far as electives go the only one cut was Spanish. There are not 2 math classes unless you have math tech as an elective. I have had no problems with Parkside this is our 3rd year there, my son is in 8th gr. Every school has problems, fights etc. But I think it is up to the parents to lead their child in the right direction, know who their friends are. Don't depend on the school to do this for you.
