My daughter attended this school for 2 years. I loved the teachers. They were very dedicated to my child's education and we will miss them dearly.
MWE is a fabulous school. Excellent teachers, a commitment to kids, family and community involvement. The only downfall right now (2006) is the district decision to have the Challenge program at both district schools, which will mean MWE possibly losing fine teachers, or kids suffering from lack of leadership. This is the fault of the WASL, folks. Monte Cristo elementary isn't making the grade--so its' 'native' kids are being tossed back to their home school (that they may never have attended) in order to pull the weight of the rest of the school.
