This is our first year at McNear- we love the sense of community and dont miss the hard-core pressure we felt at our prior school at all. The teachers are very kind and the parents are involved!
The primary education here is amazing! However, the upper grades are severely lacking in challenging, engaging, and appropriate education and curriculum.
My children (kindergarten and 2nd grade)have had a wonderful experience at this school, both emotionally and educationally. McNear is diverse both culturally and socio-economically. McNear has a thriving parent-run performing arts program and we are the only elementary school in the city that employs a full-time student advisor. Many parents are very involved with the school, both volunteering in classrooms and behind the scenes.
