Teachers who really care and want children to learn skills, not just get grades. Small school with a lot to give if not hindered by those just wanting the grade, but wanting to learn and go far in life.

As a former student of Eastern Heights I can safely say that the education and experience the school provided did very little to prepare me for entering a higher education program. Few opportunities are available to students, meaning it is lacking in the variety of classes, culture, and athletics. The teachers are streched to the point were they have as many as three or four other responsibilities besides teaching (i.e. coaching, sponsor, ect.). Yet the school has a very small town feeling were everyone knows one another. The volunteer program (KAYs) Eastern Heights H.S. has is excellent, one of the best aspects of the school I would say due to the fact it gets the students out in the field to encounter life. However, after entering college I became disappointed in how ill prepared I was and now wish that Eastern Heights H.S. would have prepared me more.
