I love how this school has kept with my daughter and her ever growing mind. At this school with the help of the coach, she has finally found an activity that truly interests her. Thank you to all the staff at lohs.
Great school. the teachers are awesome. the school has great state test scores...the school has recieved various awards...and LOHS has been listed in the America's Top Highschools
Being a Live Oak High grad. and with a sibling still enrolled there, I would say the school lacks the tools to succeed in college. We also need more enrichment programs geared towards just basic study skills expected of us in college. Instead of telling students to study, they should teach them how to study. And yes, the school needs to tone down the emphasis on sports, especially since there are no scouts coming in to see the athletes.
Live Oak High School lacks english as a dominating language, lacks education as a superior priorty. Sports is certainly the biggest importance, even then not important enough to draw scouts for future scholarships for some wonderful talents that have gone through that school system.
