I am a parent to two children that attend Luther School, I really like Mrs. Kincade as a teacher however the rest of the faculty that I have met dont impress me.My kids complain of alot of bullying at the school and physical fights that happen.Since this is there first year attending Luther school I didnt want to take them out and put them in a different school but they will not be attending Luther next year...Classrooms are way to crowded and I feel the children are losing out on extra curricular activities.

Excellent staff. I mean excellent. The principal, vice-principal, teachers, kitchen crew, instructional aides, yard duty supervision, special needs teachers, office secretaries and media aides, nursing office......you name it....well one issue. The campus is becomming more and more run down, dirty, just falling apart with no special attention to details. Just a good wash down on the walls with a high pressure hose once a year would help! Music program has been cut. (some music due to wonderful 4th grade teacher Mrs. Kincaide stretching herself.) Little to no extracurricular. Very small turnout at parents club meetings. My 3rd grader complains that no water is allowed during P.E. I would think good water intake should be taught during P.E. Once again, the staff are experienced and dedicated to children.

All three of my children attended this school and they all had a wonderful experience. Many parents are involved with helping the school out. There is not a great music program at this school but at the middle school there is a great music teacher. There are many great teachers at this school and I have only come across one teacher that I had a problem with. I think their academic programs are fine and all of my children have always been at or above level. I give this school a thumbs up and would recomend it to anyone.

Luther Elementary School in Live, CA is your 'dream' small town school. I have had children enrolled at Luther for the past 5 years. My children are encouraged to excell in all that they do. I have one child with some special leaning challenges, and the teachers and students alike rally together to help my child succeed. I have met and come to know several of the teachers and the principle and am happy to say that their love for children is evident in their actions. The only downside is the lack of music. The music program has been cut back.
