I think Morton is an excellent school. Yes, Morton is on academic probation, but it not because of a lack of dedicated well-educated teachers. Most students could care less about school and choose not to do it and this reflects in their grades. I go there now and whenever I've had trouble with understanding my work or even if I needed some extra tutoring before and after school my teachers are there for me. No one ever makes the effort to bring up their grades. I've learned so much from attending Morton and I'd recommend this school to anyone.
Morton High School is a horrible school. The new assistant principal, Mr.Biggs cares more about what we're wearing than our education. These new uniforms are getting in the way of our education because we have to go to school worrying if we're going to be sent to ICBM or get a friday school or not. I got expelled last year and I know for a fact that I've become more Violent because of how angry Mr.Biggs makes me with all his stupid rules and regulations. School was fine when I first entered in 2007 as a freshman when Mrs.Pepa was the Principal. Now, I hate this school with a Passion and my Mother, who works at Munster High School, says that Morton is the lowest of all the schools in Lake County. If you know what's good for your child, don't send them here.

this school is great. The teachere actually work with the students not against them or just for the money.=)

I have a special place in my heart for Morton. The problem is, I can't decide whether it's a soft spot, or a big nasty hole. I have some great memories there. But I can also say that getting out (via graduation, of course) of there was one of the best things that could have happened to me. The sudden transistion to 'uniformity of color' created, the way I saw it, an even more hostile environment than we had before. I didn't know if I was going to sit through a whole school day or have to go home because someone was going to try to burn down the bathroom. On the bright side, however, the theatre program seems to really be picking up, as well as other extracurricular activities. I'm hoping my brother can manage to have a good experience when he enters next year as a freshman.
