Simsboro High School is a good school. As a staff member and former student, I can say (with all honesty) that most of the students strive to do the best they can and parents of our students are very involved in their childrens' education. I think that this school has come a long way, but like any school, it still can be better.
Horrible school to be honest. Hardly any opportunities for advancement or individualism. Looking for a school with Honors Courses or Advanced Placement so that your child will have a chance to get into a good college as well as have a weighted GPA? Get over it, they don't offer it. Hoping for a school with a good academic program? Also get over it, for all of last year they allowed a certain teacher that was hardly literate herself to teach a high school course. Extracurriculars are a joke if you aren't athletic. There are very few clubs to join, and the once or twice a month club days (for 30 minutes on a Wednesday) allows no time for an actual meeting to take place. The administration worries more about whether or not your Simsboro High School or Senior hoodie has a hood on it than if you are making good grades
In my opinion, This school is lost. There was at one time a school in this location, Now it is a Military Camp that feels their rules are set in stone and over power the views of the parents' of the children that attend as well as any comparison with surrounding schools. We do NOT have an Elementary. We have a High School with short people. And in all actuality the High School children receive more liberalness when it comes to being allowed to actually have their OWN mind! The Authority figures Demand respect yet are unable to give it in return to our children.
