Lukancic Middle School is a wonderful place to teach. The staff is very caring and committed to helping all children learn. The administrators are student centered and are supportive/caring individuals. It's a growing school with a passion for pursuing excellence.

It doesn't appear that this school really has a handle on school violence or it's just a complete lack of concern. One of these days a child is going to get really hurt! I pray to God it's not mine! And my kid gets straight A's and never gets homework either. I wish I could afford private school.

I'm new to the district, and my children were also in CPS schools. Though they both did alright there, my youngest one now loves school. She never expressed this to me before. She is so interested in learning and loves the teachers. I am concerned about how little homework she receives, but it may just be my 'old school' way of what I know about school. After talking with the teachers they have expressed that they don't give much homework because the children do so much learning during regular school hours. Homework is not necessary. My daughter is on the honor roll now and I am pleased by that. I'm just glad to see how excited she is toward learning now.
