I am a student of GHS and going into my eleventh grade year. They refuse to let us wear jackets in the building during some of our coldest months. I'm sure they have their reasons, however, schools are for learning. Having half of your head dyed one color and the other side another, isn't distracting. But having your hair dyed red is. This school revolves too much around their dress code and not enough around their academics. A student not wearing socks is enough to get them suspended. Shouldn't you be trying to keep your kids IN school?

Having two of my children graduate from Gautier and my third currently attending has given me ample opportunity to see this school in full. They are not without problems but what school doesn't. With that being said the teachers at Gautier go over and beyond in trying to give the best education possible. The administration is always there to help and they have an open door policy when it comes to parents. I am proud to say that this is one school that I know of that puts education first.

Good school, the classes and teachers are good, and the level of discipline is very good.

I think it is wonderful that the band children are able to go to washington, d.C. I have been collecting money from my businees people for my child to attend. Now that i have risen $8,250.00 My child was told he would not be able to attend, becuase he went on his first vacation(in his life) as a family over the summer instead of going to band camp. He has not responded to me but i see he is hurting. I would like to hear back on this on how other parents feel.

You get what your tax dollars pay for! Excellent school for the money in my opinion.

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
