This is my daughters first year and coming from a school that had only 16 students in the class, Im not thrilled with Winston Park. There are 36 kids in the second grade and has 2 teachers. However you cannot control that many 7 yr olds in one room. The math is the same math she learned last year, and the language arts is really easy. She was doing harder stuff in first grade. The security of the school is great and the new principal and vice principal seem really nice and committed to doing a good job. I just wish the classes were smaller and the academics more rigorous.

My daughter is in the first grade and in her 2nd year and WP. Both she and I are very happy with her progress and the schools emphasis on learning and achievement. I dont see as many activities 9i.e. ice cream socials, movies in the field...) as i did when Ms. Virgin was principal, but hopefully Mr. Diaz will soon catch on to the wildcat spirit and realize a lil social activity for the kids helps there overall learing experience and enthusiam towards school.
The teachers at Winston Park are dedicated to the students. They go above and beyond to expose the children to many opportunities insided and outside the school. My child enjoys coming to school each day and that is a blessing to any parent.
Winston Park is truly a community school where parents, students and teachers come together to make the school better and enhance the education of the children. This can be witnessed from the way events are held, the way the parents get along with each other and the responsiveness of the teachers, their willingness to help and inventive ways they find to teach our children. We now have a new principal and he has done a great job so far. The previous principal knew each child, their grades and how they behaved. Kudos to WP and Faculty!
