My son went to school here for 5 years and I regret not moving sooner to get him into a better school. My son needed extra help in reading which they refused to give him due to too mny non english speaking students that needed the help more and passed my son every marking period with high marks. Once he started his new school in the 5th grade he was working on a 3rd grade level in several areas. I was appalled that Dodd would have passed him! He's now doing much better and working on or above average in his classes. This school needs big help all around.

Poor, poor, poor. That's all I can say about Dodd. I guess it really depends on your ethnicity, or lack there of, to get a quality education from them. My son is gifted and should be in a gifted class, but he was not chosen. Instead, they continue to send him math homework home, when he need extra help in in writing. My child never gets anything other than math to complete. From what I can see from the overall test scores there, they can use a little help in the reading area.

As both a former student and current parent of a child in this school, I woul give this review: Dodd is one of the best in the school district, but i wouldn't let them touch the middle schools. I am actually moving next week, specifically because of the schools. The teachers at dodd are wonderful, I love them. The administration, however, is not the best. The kids have no recess, can't use the playground, programs are limited, no sports, a poor district all around. Yes, there are far worse, but really, if you look at the surrounding districts, there are much better choices.

Pretty good school, my son's been there for 3 years now and has enjoyed it thoroughly. During the 1st year and a half the principal was a lot stricter as well as a lot more hands on, I feel that she could show a little more of the strength she had in that first year and a half. I wish that the students had more consistent homework as well as more then 5 minutes worth. Teachers have been great, everyone's friendly and caring.
