I currently attend AHS. the only thing there is to say about this school is that its wonderful, and no student here would rather be anywhere else. We have a very strict no tolerance policy and the teachers always make one on one time with students who need it. As an honors student, and a senior, I can say that the experiences both academically and socially that i have had here have without a doubt prepared me for my future.

Albany High school is an excellent institution. AHS curriculum is more than adequate in preparing a student to success at entering and graduating any college or university. However parent must be involved in the process. At times the staff is lacking in informing parents when a student is not performing to their abilities. With a little addition effort the staff could become excellent communicators.

Albany High is one of the greastest schools I have ever attended. Although I do not agree with the strict use of uniforms, the code of conduct and disciplinary action seems to be set with high expectations of myself and my peers. I believe this is because the staff knows the ability of the student body to do better. I'm glad to be an Albany Hornet, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else than A-Town

Although I've not had children in the Albany School system for several years now, I can say that my experiences with the teachers and principal was exceptional. I've never seen a school that cares so much about its student's success. If my child got into trouble or was having problems, I could count on a phone call from one of the teachers to let me know what what happening. This allowed me to correct the problem before it got out of hand. I can also say that the band program is one of the best I've seen. I can say, without a doubt, that one of my children would not have graduated, had it not been for the extra effort that these teachers made. I recommend Albany to any person thinking of moving into the area.

A blog by nature is public territory. If you don't want something to be public knowledge, don't post it on the internet.
