Tyler Consolidated is second to none when it comes to academics in WV. Sports are important but do not take top priority over academics. Tyler County remembers what comes first. Students leave Tyler County and go to college better prepared than most any other high schools in WV. The music program has always been awesome. The band is small now but still managed to win the state honor band and still beats some of the largest schools in WV. Keep up the good work Tyler County and goooo Knights!!!!

I am a teacher and a parent. We have a wonderful shool system. Our academics are outstanding! Our athletic programs are out of control! I feel sorry for our students who want to participate in sports. We have amazing talent that is not tapped thanks to our horrible coaching staffs. I will have to say that our softball program is wonderful! The music program is also fantastic! I would have awarded 5 stars if the athletic programs were not such a mess.

Great school, the teachers are mostly great, with the exception of a few. Athletics (especially football) are not the greatest, but the band is well known throughout the state (despite its small size). Academically the school is great, the teachers take a real interest in your progress, and are willing to take time out of their schedules to help you out.
