Our family loves Manzanita! Our child has had great experiences in and out of the classroom. The teachers are highly qualified, compassionate and very approachable. While it is true that Manzanita is more diverse than the other schools in the area, we wouldn't have it any other way. Our child has made good friends with children from several countries. He has learned to embrace different cultures and is more tolerant of other kids' idiosyncracies. Of course, it also doesn't Manzanita that the principal is very capable with great people skills.

Manzanita is an excellent school. It has a very diverse student population. There is a high percentage of second language learners. That makes for a wonderful multicultural background for any student. I believe that teachers truly have to teach at Manzanita. They do not expect children to come to them already knowing their abc's and 123's. The teachers at Manzanita work long hours and try to think outside of the box when a child is struggling.

My neice attend's this school. I was shocked to see her homework in spanish, when she speeks only english. She's also been coming home speaking spanish. When we asked her what her teacher spoke she said both english and spanish. I'm not to sure this is right. It's slowing down the class. My neice is very bright! Shes reading books for children much older. Her ability to do math is remarkable too. Her teacher should be giving her work to help stimulate her. Not attending to those not speaking english. Those children should be in special classes, then intergrated into regular classes. I'm sure the school board wouldn't accept this situation either. A concerned Aunt
