Maple Elementary School

I am not only a parent but was as well a student. I have 3 children whom have all attended this school as well as a couple other schools my son attended. This is by far the best elementry school around. I have lived in this area for 41 years.

Maple has been an excellent place for our children to learn and grow. I love their Art and Music programs. The teachers make it fun for the students to learn and to be engaged. I love the smaller school environment. Lots of parent opportunity to be involved. PFA works very hard at balancing the students entire experience.

Maple Elementary is an amazing school. The principal is very knowledgeable and dedicated. She is in it for all of the right reasons, as are the very dedicated teachers. Maple is a community of families that supports the values and ideals we uphold in our family. There is no shortage of opportunity to be involved, and there is a commitment to music, art, and P.E. The academic program is excellent, and a real effort is made to address the needs of all students. I would love to see the institution of a GATE program.

Maple used to be such a great, small school. They have now instituted a new program called 'The O.R. room' where the children must go if they dont' bring in every piece of homework. It's basically detention even for 1st graders! The new principal has brought a different feeling to the school. It's not as warm and welcoming as it used to be.
