My son goes to Jackson and has learned alot this year because of the wonderful teacher he has this year( Ms Rowlands)
Jackson Elementary School provides parents with many opportunties to visit the school and participate with your child in activities.
This school is very good with their safety. As a grandparent, I was checked before I was able to pick up my grandson from school or even get him off the bus. The principal is very involved with the students. The fifth grade E.S. teacher and aide are very concerned with the students in and out of school. Their teaching methods and discipline are very appropriate.
Since Ms. Kornfiend has become principal I feel that the school has come a long way. I see that more parents are envolved in school functions,many of the children seem to be learning more and behaving better due to recognition that she gives to them (they have 'Happy hour' where children who are well behaved and do all their work go and get treats in her office, as well as there have been many new things (last year she had a small carnival come to the school where there was rides and everything....a long way since the last principal. Although he was good....she is a wonderful.
