Konawa High School

This school is constantly under attack by parents and other members of this smalltown community. It isn't necessarily the administrators don't listen to parents. It is simply that too many parents believe they should have control and don't like it when teachers and administrators let them know that they are capable of doing their own job. This school overall is a good school academically although test scores seem to have declined in the past few years. The teachers aren't completely to blame as the kids of this generation seem to be more apathetic about their studies. Athletically this school is on the rise and will continue to do so as long as the coaching staff that is there now continues doing what they've been doing. Overall, for a small class school, this is a 3.5 star school.

I don't feel the high school administration really listens to the parents well enough and seems to automatically side with teachers in any matter. Most teachers are pleasant and willing to work with parents, yet there are a number who seem malapropos in their positions (there are quite a few coaches as teachers at this school, not to say they all make bad classroom teachers). Overall...so so.
