I agree with the other review regarding the Principal. I will be glad when my child is out of this school!
Had a rocky start because my son was assigned a kindergarten teacher with the wrong personality and poor skills to teach kindergarten, But 1st grade is the opposite. If all of Givens teachers are like my son's 1st grade teacher, Givens has great standards and teachers!
Givens Elementary- My daugther was enrolled in a fine Private school from grades K-3. I was told by many people that Givens was very much like the private school that my child was attending. I decided to enrol my daughter at Givens because of the high test scores, the '10' rating and the rep it has for academic excellence and strong parental involvement. Givens was exactly what I was looking for. This school has been able to give my child everything that she was getting at the private school. All year, I was impressed with the academic demand. I was suprised at the small class size of 23 students . This year my daughter was awarded for her hard work and academic excellence (unlike many private schools) and the validation will continue to encourage her and highten her interest and dedication for achievement in school. A+
The principal is on his own career climbing agenda and your child is a rung on the ladder. That's all I have to say!!!!
