i think this school is doing its best now that Mr. Houston is principal. I think less emphasis on the football team and more on the band and other activities like dance. they are doing their best if only the state would give more!! Go Chiefs!!!

Way too much emphasis put on sports, such as football and not near enough on education. It seems if your child does not play sports he/she is a nobody at this school.

Overall, North Jackson is a really great school. It could use a few changes- one being that there is not a variety of electives offered because of funding- but with Coach Houston as principal, I believe those will be taken care of. The teaching staff is outstanding. Teachers like those that are at North Jackson are really hard to find. Especially Mrs. Butler, Mr. Smith, Coach Stewart, Mrs. Lusk, and Mrs. Adkins. These teachers will make sure that your child is properly educated; They may not be scholars when they graduate but they will be able to say that they learned something. For students who choose to dual enroll in college, the faculty will bend over backwards to ensure that you can afford it.
