I have seldom seen teachers work so hard, conducting tutorials before and after school and manning sessions to help students with their work. One of the greatest challenges of middle school is moving students toward the responsibility of taking charge of their own success. Expecting a teacher with 6 classes of students to communicate with every parent once a week is unrealistic at best. North Ridge has an exceptional group of well-mannered, terrific students and some top-notch extra-curricular programs. We also have some great parents we can count on to help when we need them. We do want to improve to meet students' needs. But if you walk the halls, you will see happy kids surrounded by folks who really care about them. Gotta love it.

This school is excellent especially compared to the others in the district. Defnitely the least disciplinary problems, greatest faculty, and most experienced office staff.

I was frustrated at the lack of communication from the office staff and the bulk of the teachers. We never received vital information from some teachers that affected our son's future. They were apologetic for mistakes made, and I know that no one is infallible, but, you would expect better attention to detail from an 'exemplary' school. One piece of advice, stay in contact on a weekly basis, don't expect them to contact you.

Check to see if students with disabilities are a priority because otherwise the state doesn't pay for that child to go to School if they don't have a disability your child has to be put on a waiting list for pre-k! if their not

1.Go on a tour of a school tour 2. Talk to the director (and the teacher your child will have) about what the students day like. 3. Watch school in session 4. Look out for red flags: neglected children at play, lazy, non engaging teachers
