Cross Creek Programs

Cross Creek has dramatically influenced my life and my entire family. It tought us a great deal about the key things in life and how to deal with deep issues, feelings, day-to-day issues and most importantly I learned how to face the person in the mirror and be ok we myself the way I was. I also learned how to be responsible and take accountability for my actions rather than just blaming the world for every situation I didn't like. I learned a great deal about respect for myself and others and learned to like cleaning(it's a good use of time and energy). The food wasn't bad either, it wasn't home but you get used to it. I also learned a lot about relationships and effective communication. My favorite things were playing on their softball team and going on service projects throughout the community once I got on a higher level.

For kids who have problems with drugs, have distanced themselves from their families, or perform poorly at school, Cross Creek can turn your child around. The principal really cares about each child, and the therapists work with your children to truly encourage open and honest communication with their families, and make them accountable for their actions ... they make kids good decision-makers about whom they should have as friends ... this happened with my child. I never thought it was possible, but my child is a completely different kid from the one I took to Cross Creek 16 months ago. This program also offers concurrent seminars for parents which allow the whole family to better communicate ... then they bring the child and parent (s) together again to practice what they've learned ... it's awesome, and really works! I would recommend Cross Creek to any parent whose child needs help!
