The principal is overwhelmed by the responsibilities of her position. While the school promotes a no-bully policy actual instances of bullying are not effectively dealt with. Moreover, many times her misguided involvement in situations exacerbates the problem. St. Stephen has a wonderful community and the priest is truly interested in the well-being of the students. Unfortunately, your experience can't be guaranteed. Also, if you child needs extra help in studies it may not be a good fit.

This school is one of the best, if not the best, Catholic elementary schools in the City. The principal is dedicated to making the school environment a bully free zone and genuinely cares about each and every student. This year there are 3 new young teachers who add energy to the faculty along with the experienced and knowledgeable teachers who have dedicated their teaching careers at St. Stephen. The test scores are high and the 8th graders graduate and are accepted into their 1st choice high school. With the new Athletic Director and the new Gym, the Athletic Program is outstanding. The Pastor is very involved in the school environment and walks the schoolyard to say hello to the students. If you want a school, where your child will be loved and cared for while acquiring an excellent education each day, St. Stephen School is the place to be.

Great school and a fantastic community. Mrs. Allen is extremely dedicated to the students at St. Stephen's and is out in the yard to greet them every day rain or shine. She has made good decisions on the hiring of new teachers, and is dedicated to academic excellence.
