The staff is incapable of upholding the constitution of the United States of America. They ostracize their students and allow fellow peers to do the same. Teachers demean children and don't stick up for them when they are being bullied, even the counselors. Do not move to this school, it is a pathetic representation of education.

2011 graduating senior Damon Fowler objected to prayer at the Bastrop High School graduation exercises, claiming a violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. The ACLU of Louisiana asked the school not to include a prayer in the ceremony but, in a spectacularly pigheaded display of poor judgment, the school allowed a student to take the floor and she purposely included an expressly Christian prayer while another thumper led people in the Lord's Prayer. The school says that this second student was told not to include a prayer, but no one did a thing to stop her. Fowler, of course, was ostracized and harassed by other students. I guess those students just couldn't turn the other cheek. Don't subject your kids to this mess.

Move, just move to a different school district - you do not want your children "educated" here.

Seriously, Why not slap a NUN in the door and be done with it? You want to be religious and all, brother please!

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
