My daughter went to this school 1-6th grade and now is a freshman in college. My son is in six grade now and attened this school since pre-k. Excellent principal and staff. My daughter was well equipped for high school and college, getting her start here. My son is on A honor roll.

I'm pleased with the academics overall. Almost all of the kids appear to be very intellectual. School must provide better extracurricular activities. Parent involvement has gotten much better.

John Burroughs has met all of the academic targets in testing for the past few years. The school is one of the better schools in this section of DC. My children find it to be a happy environment to learn in and both were on honor roll last year. This makes me happy. John Burroughs can be even better if more parents would avail themselves to the many opportunities that the school presents for them to get involved. The parent center remains under used, and PTA meetings are scarcely attended. I see too few parents at the meetings and other events, and usually these are the same faces.
