As a former student of FHS I was amazed at how well prepared I was to enter a large ACC university in the south. I was way ahead of most of my peers who graduated from other high schools in the southeast. I was truly appreciative when I could skip freshman english and math classes as I could test out of these classes due to the excellent preparation I had at Fairport High.

as a former student of this school I would have to say first of that there is an overwhelming sense of pride and dedication attached to this school. The problem lying mostly in the over-emphasizing of extracurricular activities. Sports are way too important to this community. I will say that attempts have been made to make this school systems more rounded. However more needs to be done along the lines of creative classes offered, and different extraxcurricular activites. When I think back to my time at Fairport I feel like the decade of the ninties is still living in the heart of the school. They just need to get with the times, this isn't a tough fix. They have a lot of good pieces in place here already. Just devote a little more time to the student as an individual, opposed to molding students into 'fairport product'

Dont listen to the 2 star review. As a current student at FHS, take it from me when i tell you it truly is a special place to be. Brotherhood-Sisterhood week easily highlights the year and really makers you realize what a great place Fairport truly is. The current principal, Mr. Paddock, without a doubt is the best high school principal in America. He genuinely cares about his students and gets to know each one of them. You wont truly understand what Fairport high school is really like unless you have been there. The atmosphere is so positive. The Fairport community comes second to none. God Bless Fairport
