Philomath Middle School is great because it offers an excellent staff and wonderful volunteers that care deeply for the enrichment of all students. The school also fosters an amazing since of community into every aspect of student/school life.
I know many of the teachers work hard both individually and together to give their students the best education that they can.
The principal and office staff are professional and helpful. Overall,the teachers are dedicated with great communication to parents. The Power School (online grades) helps tremendously. There is a big mix of kids, which makes for a well rounded school and less snobbery.
I don't believe that employing teachers that yell at there students, or are rude and sarcastic to there students should be allowed. Yet when a parent expresses there concerns to the principles, they try to find blame in the student and of course not in the teacher. This same teacher has been like this thru my other 3 children. Which in making there transition to middle school a negitive experiance. Our 2 oldest went to job corp, with the 3rd on the way. Our youngest will also end up getting his education there also. It's sad that a parents concerns are ignored.
