This school has high teacher turn over, teachers are always leaving. Also there are very limited electives due to the small size of the school. No AP classes, so if your child wants to get ready for college, it is best to get them tested for Townview.
This school has excellent teachers! I have never seen such dedication!! The principal is very open minded and always willing to go that extra mile for his school. I couldn't think of a more perfect school than SLAS. The students are excited to learn and the parents are just as excited!
I love this school. I think it pays more attention to its students. It is better than DISD. My kids love the school.
I am a returning teacher and am happy to report that things just keep getting better and better. The reason I teach here is because it is a safe, nurturing and inspiring place for both students and staff. The teachers give much of their time and effort outside the norm and most students thrive in this environment. For a population that is heavily English second language learners, I cannot imagine a much better place to educate ones children.
