There are various facts about Lithia Springs Elementary that I want to establish. I absolutely love the administrative staff at the school as well as some of the teachers. However, when my child entered kindergarten last year (2006) I felt his teacher was not very passionate about his education nor did she care about his personal well being or achievements. I would just warn parents to listen to their children about the day they had at school, ask many questions about how things are going, and be involved when at all possible.

I feel like what ever a teacher saids about a student goes no if, or ands about it. My child has a first year teacher (first time teaching), at the first of the year my daught did not fit her cookie cutter image of a student so she suggested SST (Special Ed in my eyes), I fell like she did not know how to handle her. Rather going to another teacher (one with more then one year experience -which I asked if she had done) or asked if I had any suggestion. To this day she can not tell me what happen to her idea to put my student in SST.

I would like to take this tim eto tell you that I love this school. The academic program is great. It has challenges my son and made him push himself to do well!! He is in the top of his class and has never made less than a B in any of his classes. I would like to see mor music offered. Growing up I was in band and chorus. The oppturnities aren't there for my son. I would like to see the music program be better with more availability. The PTA program is great. They are very involved with the school and get many parents to get involved too. They even offer school for the parents. I think this school is great!
