It was wonderful to be at Garden on Saturday. The school was chock full of children taking the Merit Exam and also there was an open house. We are just thrilled with the new children who have joined the school during the past months. They were accepted with open-arms by teachers, admin and students. What a joy it is to witness children so quickly becoming part of the Garden family. Although my daugther has quite a rigorous academic schedule, she is enjoying every minute in the great after-school foundation program. We have much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.

It s sad that a disgruntled parent/student will libel the reputation of the hard working and caring staffs of The Garden School without providing any specific evidence whatsoever of the frightening things happening at this school (a close comparison of the one-star reviews suggests a single reviewer). If your child could not cut it at The Garden School, just accept his failure and move on! The reason we chose The Garden School for our child is its focus on academics, hard work, safety, and the quality of its outstanding teachers. It is a bit pricey (nowhere near Manhattan tuition rates) but you get 'value' for your money. If you are looking for a school where your child will get easy A s without work/study, where he will get 'social promotions,' or where he has to go through metal detector and/or experience 'lock-downs' then The Garden School is definitively not for you.

When is high fiving a child a bad thing? THe administration know all the names of their students. When my family was having a crisis the school really reached out not only to my child but to my family. THis school is a family-they not only care about excellent academics but about instilling a sense of humanity to the kids. These life lessons occur in the classrooms, on the soccer fields, and yes even when highly educated adults bend to high five a child-the students of this school are beautifully behaved-do kids sometimes act up-yeah-that's what kids have been known to do! Believe me, I wouldn't have my child in any other school-these teachers and administrators know what thet are doing-they are helping create responsible , empathetic adults-good job garden!!!!

My child has attended Garden School for 5 years. The middle school and high school curriculum and teachers are terrific. The focus on learning and writing is perfect for my child. The diverse community of students and families helps us appreciate different cultures. We highly recommend this school.
