This school used to be a great school, but the school district has now gotten rid of all specials - no art, music, pe, foreign language, facs, or industrial tech. The elementary teachers are to teach art, music and pe. These teachers are overworked and have no knowledge of those areas so basically the fundaments are not being taught. The junior high has pe but is planning on having only 2 teachers next year and 50 kids in a class so again the curriculum is compromised and the students are basically being supervised and not being taught. It is a shame what has happened to this once great district.

I am a fromer student of Cary Junior High! The staff is great. The teachers really explain and teach things well, and do not load on the homework. The only down side to this school is that they are soo strict on the dress code for girls shorts!

My daughter's class was the first to graduate from the 'new' junior high. My son is now in the eighth grade. Every aspect of the school is outstanding. District 26 has consistency among all schools which is very helpful once students reach jr. high, and high school. My child who was an 'average' student, who always worked to the best of her abilities, is now quite successful in college. My 'gifted' student has the study skills already which he will need to achieve success in high school, not to mention that he is getting the education that suits him. The best part of CJH is that the teachers are always available to work with the family. We are happy to pay our taxes, we know we are getting our money's worth.
