I have mixed feelings about Moody. I have one child at Moody and one at Short Pump Middle. I feel they are equal academically, with great and not-so-great teachers at both schools. Moody has the Ib program, but Short Pump also has advanced classes. The downside of Moody is that once high school acceptances come out, the kids start dropping their friends who aren't going to the same high schools. It can be a rough end to eighth grade if you aren't going to Maggie Walker, Henrico, or Godwin. Although my child is a straight A student and in all advanced classes and has won many awards, we might have been better off staying at Short Pump and having more continuity of friendships. We really admire Mr. Raymond, and have had good experiences at Moody, but the transition to high school is now a lot harder than it has to be.

omg i loveed moody it was soo much fun. the teachers are all awesome (except for hendricks lol) they have great learning experiances and oppertunities. and not to mention the ib program! however it was always rumored that some of the ib kids bought their way into the program lol its just a myth though overall its awesome everybody is friendly

moody is great school. i am and IB student there grade 7 and i love it! of course, like most schools, there are some mean people and some people who only hang out with other specific people, but that doesn't always happen at moody. there are barely any fights, and mostly every one is friendly
