My boys are in KG and 1st grade at Sunnycrest. The remodel is beautiful, but the best aspect is the staff and their attentiveness to my kids.
I think this school is very unorganized maybe it was just my daughters teacher. But there were 4 children in the class that had ADHD and I feel the teacher did not have enough time or help to focus on the rest of the class and have them learn to the best of thier abilities. My daughter who is bright would come home just upset that there was never enough time in class to finish assignments due to all the misbehavior that day with the problem kids. very upsetting. i expected more from a school in the lake stevens school district.
There are not any academic programs for younger kids, only 3-5th. Then there is sometimes Spanish and music. They are struggling to get the acedemic levels up. Many kids come in to Kindergarten with no prior schooling. There are some parents that participate but, most don't. The teachers seem to come first and there are few aids on the playgrounds. They are trying to make it a better school. With, a more stuctured program for academics. But, still in test phases.
