Excellence Charter School-Bed Stuy

This is a wonderful school that is accomplishing greatness in a neighborhood that is historically known for being educationally disadvantaged. The school facilities are a landmark in the community. The scholars who attend Excellence are little gentleman. Nothing about these boys or their school is stereotypical. They make us all proud. We are a family comprised of parents, teachers, staff, principals and students. Its a wonderful thng to see.

Excellence not only provide a quality education, and preparing young men for college, but they are alos teaching them how to deal with society as a whole. They are reaching them in a positive way how to hanle conflicts, and to inter-act socially with different personalities. Some of the boys, including my son doesn't not understand the logic reasoning beheind certain actions, and consequences, but I feel in the long run they'll understand.They will beable to look back ,and appreciate these moments.

Excellence Charter School is just that...Excellence. So sad that when people can't run things they are insulted. This school is successful because the leaders that conceived it and manage it had a mission. That mission is put into action every day and in every aspect of the learning process for our scholars. With all the parent involvement Excellence would be just another failed school..as are so many schools that have too much parent involvement. The field trips given are enough...4-5 trips per year. Keep in mind this is a Charter School which means it is a choice. If you do not want to believe it is a good school... move on. There are plenty people willing to fill the void.
