I found it interesting that someone commented that it was 'sad' that there are police patrolling the halls. This is not because of the school system, teachers, or administrative staff. The reason for the police and for the bad reviews of the school are the students. Jennings county is filled to the brim with violent, abusive and undereducated people. The children of these people attend our public schools. I'm sure the teachers are doing the best they can, considering what they have to work with. To say the teachers and staff are 'uncaring' is completely unfair. They are literally fighting a war each day, especially with the kids that go to the high school.

JCHS is the greatest school ever! I love our sports here, most of the teachers, and all of our extracricular activities. It is a great school and I wouldn't choose anywhere else!

There is no quality. This school system really stinks. there is no parent teacher communication. There is no student teacher communication. The quality of everything in this system is 15 years outdated. We need help in JCHS system.

Jennings County High School does not deserve the reputation it has. The students can determine how far they go and how well they do. It should be no surprise that the 'college bound' classes and the 'advanced placement' classes will better serve a person who is preparing themselves for college. Unfortunately, altogether too many students take regular classes and expect to go to college with enough experience under their belts. Sure, there are a few teachers who wouldn't go down in my book as amazing, but there are so many more who would. Many teachers in this school put their hearts and souls into their career. Give them credit! I think our administration is doing the best they can considering what is at their disposal. The principals truly care.
