Our daughter has attended St Nich since Pre-K. We have fould the level of teaching to be excellent. The lack of extracurricular activites has not been a problem for our family. Sport & the arts are everywhere. We enter this year into the 4th grade, and ask ourselves is it all enough for the higher grade levels? We are not sure but I do feel we made the right choice with St Nicholas. Small class size, Teachers & Parents who take the time, for the childern.
Both of my children attend the school. They have excellent, caring teachers (one or two are not up to par). They are doing work at least one grade level above public school. Currently they have Boy and Girl Scouts and piano lessons available for extra curricular activities. The children participate in 2 or 3 excellent musical programs a year. There is a core group of parents (mostly mothers) that are actively involved in the school but all are welcomed. I love the school.

I have had a child in this school for many years and have seen the quality of the education slip over the last couple of years. The school has a problem atracting and keeping good teachers, the few that they have are not allowed to expand there teaching styles beyond the very narrow guide set for them by the principal. The school has poor communication with parents and frowns upon any type of parent input. There are no extracurricular activities for the children.

Good and discplined school. principal knows what shes doing. the greek festivals gets the kids to enjoy themselves. there gyros are great.
