My daughter just started kindergarten and thus far I am very impressed with her teachers understanding of this age and the academic area she is in..Very happy overall
This is our 3rd and final year at this school. While the environment is safe and teachers are loving, we have recently learned the curriculum lags behind some of the better public schools in this area (and FAR behind the parochial schools, which are similarly priced and offer extra-curricular activities). Although our child has been a straight-A student, we find it necessary to catch up in science, math and history over the summer in order to compete academically in the public arena.
My child has been in Monterey Bay Christian School for 5 years now and I have found the experience awsome. Every teacher that has taught my child has been an excellent, qualified, well prepared, caring teacher. I highly recomend this school to anyone looking for an excellent education in a safe environement from people who truly love and care about your child.
My kids were in this school for 4 years, and we saw an incredible deterioration in the overall quality of the school during that time. Most teachers are not credentialed and the administration is severely lacking in leadership ability. Tuition has increased while extras have all but been eliminated. I would not recommend this school any longer, unfortunately. They have a very long way to go for improvement.
