Not a great school. Not a good school. Average all the way. Kids are rude. Dress code is loose. Parent meeting to draw in prospective parents was abysmal.

This is a very impessive school and I have learned A LOT from all of my teachers and staff. The staff is GREAT. The only thing that I don't like about my school is how the vise princaple takes over and acts like the princable doesn't "run the show". But other than that, if you are looking to enroll your kid at this school you are making the right choice.

I am so impressed with how much this school goes above and beyond to assure a student succeeds. From clubs to literacy they are on track for the 21st Century learner. They offer mentors to help students from a nearby retirement community, students at School of Mines mentor and their new mission of 'Literacy..your rope to the Summit' is outstanding. Their honor program will prepare any college bound student the tools to succeed. Teachers work countless hours of their own to help students succeed. Parents are always welcome to help or observe classrooms. Bell office has a very welcoming enviroment.

This school is okay, but I don't think its reputation is really deserved. For one, the principal seems to leave everything to the vice. I'm in 7th grade and I enjoy all of my teachers, but some of the staff (not the teachers) act like they hate their job.

No. I have heard of teachers setting up FB pages on areas of study so students can use technology as a learning tool. All posts are public and private messages are disabled. I won't even friend former students. I do it as a rule-no hurt feelings.

No! As an educator, I don't want to be held responsible for what students are doing outside of the classroom.

Absolutely not. Most schools offer the homework question site through the school system. They do not need to be "friends" with their students through social networking sites.
