I love the dedication and passion the teachers and staff have for the kids.Alot of our kids are from a less than desireable home enviorment and to see the staff deal with compassion and loving discipline towards them is wonderful.
It is the best school because they put the kids first and do whatever they have to do to make sure the children have what they need to learn.
My children attended this school for several years. As with any school you need to be on top of your childs education and monitor his/her sucess. Since leaving the state my child now attend another school the doesn't even compare to Sunrise. Sunrise teaches organizational skills, how to be respectful to others, has a wonderful reading program I just can't say enought about it. Yes there is a growing spanish population at the school but these children also go to ELL so they can get the help they need without holding back other children in the classroom. I volunteered at this school for several years and I am very confident in this school. The only downfall of this school is lack of parent involvement.
I feel the classrooms at this school are oversized and my son did not receive the one on one attention he needed to excell. When problems arose I was notified in a timely manner and the staff just seemed to busy to be concerned about my concerns.
